RESISTANCE SOLDERING
Resistance Soldering generates heat at the solder joint by using low-voltage current. Carbon
electrode holders are connected to an adjustable Luma Power Transformer Unit and applied
to the joint creating instantaneous heat.

The amazing speed of this method is made possible by concentrating heat at the exact area
being soldered. This can increase production rates by up to 40%. The localized heat
generated also reduces excess solder use and drippings resulting in substantial additional
savings.

Operators appreciate the lighter and well-balanced holders as well as the reduced heat
radiation. Rejects and cold joints are eliminated.

Maintenance is practically a thing of the past. The electrodes are long-lived and should
provide an excess of 30,000 contacts each. However, flux must be kept off the contact area for
best results.

Power consumption is reduced. There's no warm-up required; the Power Unit draws current
only when a connection has been made.

SOLDERING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug in transformer; turn on.
2. Hook leads up to terminals. (No positive or negative hookup.)
3. Hook up with regard to heat desired: AB=low, BC=medium, AC=high.
4. Use selector switch and start at one (1) through highest number for selection process.
